THANK YOU SONGWRITERS who shared their music with this year’s Blooming-Tunes song competition.  Your songs were outstanding and finding the top fifteen songs was indeed a challenge for our judges!  Special congrats go to Mr. Bill Headley whose song ‘When I Dream’ TIED with M.J. Bishop’s ‘Up North for  most Judge’s votes this year.  EVERY entry was a winner because each song entered reflected the heart and soul of its writer.  It takes a talented and brave individual to put themselves ‘out there’ to be judged and critiqued by a panel of judges who know only the title and assigned number of the songs they are listening to.  Even if you did not win a spot on this year’s winner list – know that YOU are a winner and keep bringing music into the world and sharing it with those around you.  We look forward to NEXT year’s competition so keep your song antenna out and continue to write your songs!

This year’s judges included Ms. Laurie McClain of Nashville Tennessee, John & Kathy Casey (Indy West Concerts) and Mr. Tom Marshalek – who has been one of the working members Bloomington Songwriter Showcase for nearly four years.  This was a daunting task for the judges – and each one of them took the job very seriously.  THANK YOU JUDGES!

This year’s Blooming-Tunes Concert will be held at the Brian Park outdoor stage in Bloomington Indiana on August 28th – Located on South Henderson St. -  beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the top FIVE Songwriters and SPECIAL performance from Indiana’s own Don Pedigo – www.DonPedigo.com.   Writers who entered this year’s competition are invited to attend and if you let us know you are in attendance – you will be asked to stand and be acknowledged as an entrant to this year’s competition!  More concert information will be forthcoming on our website; www.Blooming-Tunes.com.
